We are a collaborative group researching and working on social and political issues that concern us now. the now being the everyday, the everyday being me and you walking down the street, going to work, going to sleep, getting up, going to work.....
	What ~~does this mean~~ to ~~me and you~~?
			we as a group deconstructed the concept of copyright and applied it to our current social and economic climate.The climate of today. Through this process we concluded that the most relevant interpretation applicable to our social practice was the concept of ownership. We explored this concept as a definition and how we could apply this to our surrounding environment.Through this discussion we naturally gravitated towards conceptualising “ownership” in terms of copyright. We considered making replicas of either local artists or international artists work and holding an exhibition. This raised many practical questions, how could we reproduce the work on a limited timeframe and budget, should we copy unknown images or iconic ones and should the exhibition be held in a public or private space? A theme emerged within our discussions around ownership and more specifically private/public space. Our thinking process then applied this theme to our immediate surroundings, with particular reference to “ghost estates” and unoccupied spaces, issues raised included:

			•How can we define private/public space
			•The original purpose for unoccupied spaces, who were the spaces intended for and what impact has the vacant spaces on the intended occupants and existing neighbours
			•NAMA and repercussions of the current banking crisis on housing developments be it private or public, and the impact on all home owners
			•The discussion then progressed to our immediate surrounding environment with particular reference to ten newly developed vacant houses.
			•These were originally intended as private housing development for locals.
			•It is a integral part of our group dynamic that we take a stance and followed this through by taking an appropriate action.
